Guelph, known as The Royal City, is roughly 22 km east of Kitchener and 70 km west of Downtown Toronto. Guelph began as a settlement in the 1820s. Downtown Guelph is situated above the confluence of the Speed River and the Eramosa River, which have numerous tributaries. Several downtown streets are lined with Victorian era buildings now well over a century old.

Centre Wellington is a township in south-central Ontario, located in Wellington County. The primary communities are Elora and Fergus. Centre Wellington is heavily agricultural but is also the home to industries, manufacturers, retailers, health care services and trades people. The local economy also benefits greatly from tourism.

Guelph/Eramosa is a township located in Wellington County. It partly encircles the city of Guelph, surrounding it in a continuous arc from approximately northeast to south-southwest of the city. The township was created in 1999 by the merger of the townships of Guelph and Eramosa, as well as parts of Pilkington and Nichol townships.

Wellington North is a township located within Wellington County. On January 1, 1999, the township was formed through the amalgamation of the townships of Arthur and West Luther, the village of Arthur and the town of Mount Forest, and a small portion of the West Garafraxa Township.

Erin
Erin is a town in Wellington County, bordered by the Town of Caledon, Ontario to the east, the Town of Halton Hills to the south, the Township of Guelph/Eramosa to the west and the Township of East Garafraxa to the north. Erin is primarily a rural community but, while farming is still an important activity in the town, most of its population works in the nearby cities.
