A roughly triangular neighbourhood just northeast of downtown Guelph, Central East, also known as Saint Georges, is bordered by the Speed River, Eramosa Road, Victoria Road North, and the train tracks. Most of this neighbourhood is residential, with some retail along Eramosa Road. A variety of housing types can be found here, from single-family riverfront homes to high-rise and low-rise apartment complexes.

Clairfields is a residential neighbourhood in Guelph's south end, with a mix of mainly new-build townhouses, duplexes, and single-family detached homes. The intersection of Clair and Gordon at the south-east corner of this neighbourhood is the commercial core of the south end.

Guelph South is, as the name suggests, the southern corner of Guelph. Historically farmland and sprawling acreages, the planned communities north of Clair Road East have begun to spread into this neighbourhood. The intersection of Clair and Gordon at the north-west corner of this neighbourhood is the commercial core of the south end.

Hanlon Creek is a mixed-use neighbourhood in stretching along Stone Road from Gordon Street to Hanlon Parkway. Most of it is a residential area south of Stone Road, with mainly single-family homes, but the neighbourhood also contains the Priory Park townhouse and apartment community north of Stone Road Mall. Residents have easy access to all amenities in Hanlon Creek.
