Today the area features residential areas in the centre, with commercial and service areas lining the thoroughfares that border the area: Yonge Street to the west, Davis Drive to the north, Bayview Drive to the east, and Mulock Drive to the south. Newmarket's Main Street runs through this neighbourhood. Housing in the core is mostly single detached in a real mix of age and architectural styles, from century homes to bungalows. There are also townhomes and low-rise apartment buildings.
