While Sir William Mulock Secondary School has strong ties to the past, it is committed to developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of its students as 21st Century Learners. Our blended learning program, which marries the use of personal technology with strong instructional practices, seeks to prepare our students for life beyond high school in the 21st Century. Our focus on technology serves to enhance the learning environment provided by our teaching and support staff. While the integration of technology is unique to Sir William Mulock Secondary School, it is not the only notable feature of the school. Sir William Mulock Secondary School provides a variety of courses to support the variety of learning needs for the students in our community. The school provides programs at the locally developed, applied and academic levels. We offer a full range of programming, including Music, Drama, and Broad Based Technology programs. We offer Advanced Placement courses, and house a High Performance Athlete program.
Summerhill Estates is a newer neighbourhood in Newmarket, located in the southwest corner. Development in this area began in the 1990s and is ongoing, but has established parks and schools. The western region borders a conservation area and is still wooded. Housing is a mix of large detached homes on large lots, large 2-storey homes on narrower lots, townhomes, and semi-detached homes. The area has good access to both Highway 400 and Highway 404.
