Huttonville Public School, a kindergarten to grade 8 school, was once a rural school dating back to 1938. Since then many changes have occurred. Most recently, we are in transition as new communities are being rapidly built around us. As a school community, we believe that every student has the right to learn to his or her potential in an inclusive and caring environment. We also believe in student leadership and there are many opportunities to become involved in school life for our students. Our mission statement is: "Learning to Learn" and we are the home of the HAWKS - Honest and Responsible, Always Respectful, Working Cooperatively and Inclusively, Keep Caring!
The Bram West neighbourhood is a large area in southwest Brampton, with the Credit River forming the northern boundary. Much of the area is natural and forested, along the banks of the Credit River. Land use within this natural area is mainly recreational, including Eldorado Park, Camp Naivelt and the Lionhead Golf and Country Club. Surrounding the natural areas are residential areas, of both recent, low-to-medium density housing as well as older housing on larger lots with established trees. Vacant land is proposed for further residential development.
