It is the mission of the school community at Cardinal Leger Catholic Secondary School to challenge students to: engage in life-long learning and the pursuit of excellence in reaching their full spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical potential; acquire and demonstrate the required skills and attitudes that equip them for the future; grow in an understanding of Roman Catholic teachings and traditions and to incorporate these into their everyday life.
The Downtown neighbourhood is the oldest part of Brampton, in the southwest, with the intersection of Main and Queen Streets—the historic Four Corners—as the core. Brampton was incorporated as a village in 1853. Features of this historic neighbourhood are City Hall, parks, the fairgrounds, the Rose Theatre, art gallery, museum, Alderlea Mansion and other historic homes, restaurants, offices, and other amenities. Housing in Downtown includes high-rise buildings as well as single-detached homes in a range of ages and styles, semi-detached homes, and townhomes. The City of Brampton is working on a number of projects to revitalize and beautify the Downtown.
