About Derry West Village PS

Derry West Village Public School is an inclusive learning community which embraces the African proverb, “It takes a whole village to raise a child”. Unique in both its past and its future, DWVPS is Peel’s first cluster school. The configuration of classrooms around a co-operative learning space is reminiscent of small houses clustered about a village square. This design pays tribute to the original school built in 1856, in the village of Derry West. At Derry West Village our mission is to provide students with the best education possible. As such, excellence in achievement, the provision of quality academic programmes and culturally responsive practices are our highest goals.

Derry West Village PS is located in Meadowvale Village

Homes in this neighbourhood are relatively new for Mississauga, and are mostly large single-detached and semi-detached. The area features a golf course, conservation area and plenty of green, wooded space.
