Gordon Graydon Sr. Public School has been a part of the community for almost 50 years. The building has seen many changes and renovations but the one constant has been the quality of education provided by our staff. The staff pride themselves in educating the whole child. In addition to the differentiated instruction provided to our diverse student population, the staff are committed to providing a number of extracurricular activities including a variety of intramural and competitive sports, drama, cooking, robotics and media clubs, as well as a number of high level band and vocal groups. At Gordon Graydon we embrace the Peel board’s character attributes. Our staff model and incorporate honesty, respect, inclusiveness, cooperation, responsibility and caring into all aspects of the school day. We strive to build a school community of good citizens.
The Madoc neighbourhood is in central Brampton, east of Downtown, and is largely residential. Madoc features the Historic Bovaird House, built in 1845-1852, a central recreation centre, park lands, trails, schools, a shopping plaza along Kennedy Rd on the west, and a commercial area along Queen St, which is the southern border. Housing is a mix of older single-detached homes in various styles, semi-detached homes, and townhome complexes.
