MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of St. Jacinta Marto School is to build a community committed to living the virtues of faith, hope and charity. We believe in a Catholic Education that fosters the development of global citizenship and innovation in teaching and learning. 

CATHOLIC FOCUS

St. Jacinta Marto Catholic School opened its doors on September 4, 2018 and welcomed approximately 315 students. This new school community is located on 40 Fallowfield Road in Brampton. The school reflects the cultural diversity of the community. St. Jacinta Marto, our patron Saint, is one of the children of Fatima. The Blessed Mother appeared to St. Jacinta and her brother St. Francisco. St. Jacinta Marto practiced the virtues to a heroic degree, the virtue of faith, hope and charity. She dedicated her young life to prayer and service. St. Jacinta lived her faith in her daily life and as a Catholic learning community, St. Jacinta Marto is our model and guide.

In support of the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board's Catholic Board Improvement Learning Cycle, St. Jacinta Marto Catholic Elementary School is further committed to:

• Deepening the understanding, appreciation and practice of the Catholic Christian lifestyle, with Jesus as role model;
• Aligning a school-wide approach to Catholicity, whereby all educational practices are implemented through a Catholic lens;
• Developing students who are fully alive in Christ, not only in terms of knowledge and skills, but in terms of values, attitudes and actions.
• As a diverse educational community responding to God's call, St. Jacinta Marto Catholic Elementary School fosters and nourishes an inclusive atmosphere rooted in tradition and scripture while: Being authentic witnesses to our Catholic Faith; Being responsible stewards of God's grace in the world; Respecting human dignity; Modelling all learners after Jesus, as ministers of compassion
