The Snelgrove neighbourhood is in northernmost Brampton, just west of Heart Lake and Heart Lake Conservation Area. It is a historic area, dating back to 1826. In 2004-2009, Highway 410 was extended to Snelgrove as its new terminus. The Etobicoke Creek runs through roughly the centre of Snelgrove, with marshlands and wooded areas. A trail system runs along the river and connects to various parts of the neighbourhood. The area features park lands, convenient retail and services areas, including supermarkets. Housing is mainly large, 2-storey single-detached homes and semi-detached homes, and townhomes.
