Our mission is to provide quality learning in a safe and caring environment that challenges each student to achieve their best - today and in the future. Dorset Drive Public School, located in Brampton, is made up of a very diverse student population. It is a dual-track school that offers French immersion in grades 1 to 5 and English programming from kindergarten to grade 5. We offer full day kindergarten. We are fortunate to have a before and after care program available to parents in our school. In addition to our academic programming, Dorset offers leadership opportunities to students. There are also opportunities to be participate in intra murals and winter activities.
The Southgate neighbourhood is in southeast Brampton, and is one of the older neighborhoods in the city, one of Bramalea's alphabetically-named planned developments beginning in the 1970s. This neighbourhood's street names are the "E" and "F" phases. Housing is a mix of single-detached homes, semi-detached homes, and townhome complexes. The neighbourhood has a recreation centre, plenty of green space, park lands, trails, and schools, and there is a commercial/industrial area in the south end.
