The Westgate neighbourhood is in central Brampton, and is one of the older neighborhoods in the city—one of Bramalea's alphabetically-named planned developments beginning in the 1970s. This neighbourhood's street names represent the "H," "L" and "N" phases. Housing is a mix of single-detached homes, semi-detached homes, and townhome complexes. The neighbourhood has a small lake, plenty of green space, park lands, trails, schools, and pockets of commercial services. The neighbourhood is conveniently located along Highway 410, and has Williams Parkway as a main artery, and it is also close to the Queen Street Corridor, providing good access to downtown.
