​Sunderland Public School is situated in the northern part of the Durham District School Board, in the village of Sunderland. At the present time, Sunderland Public School has a school population of 330 students who attend Full Day Kindergarten to Grade 8 classes. In addition, our school has a Junior Intermediate Resource class and provides the site for Grove School for two Chimo day treatment classes.
Sunderland is a community located approximately 100 km northeast of Toronto, Ontario in Brock Township, in the Regional Municipality of Durham. Sunderland has a community of small businesses that focus primarily on the needs of surrounding rural families. The region around Sunderland is rolling farmland, with dense first-growth deciduous forests and rich agricultural soil. Sunderland displays many typical traits of a temperate humid climate.
