Our school is named after the author Robert Munsch who once said “I am a storyteller. I write books for kids, I talk to kids, and I listen to kids.” Robert Munsch Public School is somewhat unique in our school board as we have an Early Years’ Learning focus with students from grades JK through to 3 only. Our opening also aligns with our board’s launch of its new and innovative Early Year’s Learning Strategy: Birth to Grade 3.  The Strategy has four core tenets that will provide a foundation for the work we do together, including:

• Building Capacity, Learning Together
•  Building Creative, Capable, Competent Thinkers
• Building Continuity

Our vision for the school also mirrors the Strategy’s vision that “each child is at the centre of responsive decision making”. This journey will require of us thoughtful planning, openness, meaningful relationships, collaboration, observations and conversations.
