History 

Our school is named in memory of Ronald Lenn Graham (1936-1998). 

Ron, as he was known by family and friends, began his teaching career at Lake Wilcox Public School in 1955. After 5 years of teaching, Ron was hired as principal of Keswick Public School. Two years later, he transferred to Jersey Public School where he served as principal for 22 years. During his tenure at Jersey, Ron witnessed his school double in student population. This necessitated a building program in which he was deeply involved. He also helped in the years of transition between the local school board and the centralized board of education. During his years at Jersey, Ron was responsible for numerous innovative educational programs developed within the school. He served his final two years with the York Region Board as principal of Meadowbrook Public School.

R.L. Graham Public School is a living legacy to a man who was deeply committed to students and staff.

Facilities 

• Officially opened in 1990. Additions​ were added to the original building in 1997 and 2000
• Child-care Centre owned and operated by Kinark Child and Family Services
• Shared facilities with Ontario Early Years and Children's Treatment Network

Programs

As with each school in the York Region District School Board, R.L. Graham P.S. complies with the curriculum standards as set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

In addition, our school

• is a Performance Plus School
• promotes a safe and supportive learning environment. This is done through the Board's Safe Schools Policy and Procedures, Respectful Workplaces and Learning Environments policy (240.0) and the Character Matters initiatives
• provides a Before & After School Program through Kinark Child & Family Services​
• provides a daily breakfast program
