At our school, we believe in setting high expectations for our students and believe that all students can learn and be successful given the instruction, time and support they need. We understand that a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy skills is critical for our students, and we endeavour to provide strong academic programs, focusing on inquiry and critical thinking skills. We value all areas of the program, including athletics and the arts. Students are encouraged to learn and strive to achieve excellence throughout their journey of learning at Nobleton P.S.
We believe that there is an important link between character development and student achievement. Strong partnerships, with parents, students and teachers working together, are critical to student success. We are committed to ensuring that our students come to school every day ready to learn in a safe and supportive environment that promotes mutual respect and responsibility.
Our school recognizes the importance of developing a positive school climate and spirit, providing opportunities for students to participate in the life of the school, to develop leadership skills, and to be contributing members of our school community.
We also value the importance of our whole school community joining together to develop safe and healthy relationships. We are continuing to educate the students about bullying behaviour and how they can help prevent it. The philosophy of restorative practice (RAYS) is embedded in our efforts, as well as approaches from “Tribes” to build inclusion and cooperation within our classrooms and school community. We value and instill the Tribes agreements “showing mutual respect, attentive listening, showing appreciation (no put downs) and participating (right to pass). Together, we are working to create a community of lifelong learners and ensure that our students achieve personal, social and academic success.
We encourage parents to be active in their child’s education, and communication is the key to the process.

History
Nobleton Public School was originally located on King Road, just west of Highway 27. It was officially opened in 1936, and additions were placed on the original school in 1952, 1959, 1961 and 1966. As the community grew, a new school was built on Highway 27 in 1969. The schools were called Nobleton Senior and Nobleton Junior. They eventually became a two-campus school with students in Kindergarten to grade 3 at the Junior Campus and grade 4 to 8 at the Senior Campus.
Nobleton Senior underwent a large renovation and the construction of a new wing, which was completed in August, 2012. This was done in order to accommodate all the students from both campuses and growth in enrolment from the new subdivisions being built in the town. Nobleton Junior Public had its closing ceremonies June, 2012. In September, 2012, Nobleton Public School became one school, with students from JK to Grade 8.
Our school motto is, "Walk into this school with a positive attitude, and leave with the greatest gift of all...knowledge."
Our school mascot is the red-tailed hawk. This species of hawk is common to the Nobleton area.
