The Cedarwood neighbourhood is a triangle in southeast Markham, with Steeles Ave as the southern border, Markham Rd the western border, and the railway line and Rouge River as the northeast border. It is a mixed-use neighbourhood: a golf course and forested area lie in the southeast, a commercial area is in the northwest, and a residential area is in the west and south regions.
