Administrators' Message

On behalf of the Cedarwood staff, it is with great pleasure and excitement that we extend a warm greeting and welcome to everyone in our school community.  We are confident that this school year will be one of exciting and positive experiences and opportunities for our students.

We are looking forward to the many wonderful learning opportunities that will be offered to them on a daily basis, including student leadership teams and a variety of intramural and extracurricular programs. We will be striving to continue to develop and foster a positive climate for learning at Cedarwood P.S., where the students, staff, parents and community partners work together to promote character education, healthy and active living, eco‐awareness, and equity and inclusion.

We believe that parents have a strong influence on their children’s attitudes towards learning, towards school and towards their success.  A major key to the success of our students is the positive partnerships that we, staff and parents, establish.  Open communication is essential, and the student agenda planner provides the first step in setting up a successful relationship between home and school. When your child sees the time and effort you put forth daily to check the agenda, it gives a very strong message of your commitment to their learning. A short note can be written to address concerns, ask questions, or share information. We hope that you find the agenda planner a useful and positive tool to support your child’s learning.
