Our School

ISM Elementary School is an academic institution dedicated to amalgamating Islamic teachings and morals with a high standard of education. We strongly believe that academia and religion complement each other. We aim to achieve a perfect balance of the two to provide our students with an engaging and fulfilling learning experience. To ensure we are delivering the highest quality of education, we follow the Ontario academic curriculum. With a group of dedicated staff at all levels, we strongly believe that our students will learn and thrive to be contributing members of the society and further strengthen our Muslim Ummah.

The ISM Elementary School mission is to have an educational institution that teaches and nurtures the child – Islamically, intellectually, emotionally and physically. Furthermore, we strive to prepare our students to be future leaders of the world.

All of our students work vigorously towards becoming good Muslim role models and high academic achievers. An important part of student life at ISM is daily prayer and real-life applications of our Islamic faith. The focus of the ISM`s Islamic Studies curriculum is to familiarize the students with the Islamic beliefs and practices, and to enhance their understanding of the practical dimension of their faith. The approach we use is designed to instill the love of Allah SWT and implementation of the Prophet Muhammad’s life in all aspects of our students` daily life. To accomplish this, students get daily instruction in three basic areas – Islamic Studies, Qur’anic Studies and Arabic Language. The Islamic studies and the Quranic studies are taught by our certified Alimas who have completed 6 years of Alima program. They are the philosophers, friends, and a spiritual guides to our students. The Islamic Studies curriculum is built around a series of value-based themes, and incorporates age-appropriate learning materials and activities. They also learn about the lives of other prophets and analyze their stories for significant morals and respect positive aspects of other faiths
