St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School was founded in 2004. In partnership with the City of Mississauga, we share a community library and community centre with the City of Mississauga. We are proud to be named after a young person who exemplified incredible courage, commitment and confidence in her faith. St. Joan of Arc was martyred at the young age of 19 because of her steadfastness and belief in her faith and her actions. As a community, we strive to embody this courage and belief through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our school motto “Courage to Believe” connects us to the spirit of St. Joan of Arc and to the potential that exists for every student who enrols at this school. At St. Joan of Arc we are committed to ensuring that each student establishes a personal connection to the school in order to support student success for all.
Churchill Meadows is located on Mississauga's western boundary, adjacent to Milton, with very close access to Highways 403 and 407. It is one of Mississauga's newer neighbourhoods, with development beginning in the late 1990s and still ongoing. Housing is mostly single-detached homes, as well as many condo townhomes. A commercial, services, and sports facility area lies in the south part of Churchill Meadows, on the other side of Highway 403.
