At Corsair Public School the staff, students and parents work collaboratively to make our school a “Great Place to Learn." Corsair has been recognized by The Premier for being a “School On The Move” for our strong EQAO results. We have a collective commitment to high, academic achievements with a focus on critical literacy. Our goal is to meet every student's needs through literacy and numeracy blocks of instruction. Early childhood development is also a priority. Our Readiness Centre offers pre-school children an opportunity to learn crucial social and academic skills prior to attending kindergarten.
The village of Cooksville is located is south central Mississauga, south of the City Centre and the Square One Mall area. Cooksville features a large baseball facility, parklands, a hospital, library, and schools. The population of this neighbourhood is very diverse, ethnically. Housing is also diverse: there are many high-rise condos along Hurontario St and at Dundas, as well as areas of newer townhome condos, and there are also older single-detached homes, built in the late 1980s and 1990s. Cooksville is the main transportation hub in Mississauga, with GO Transit rail and bus service and express city buses to Toronto Union Station, and there is easy access to Highway 401.
