Green Glade Sr. Public School is a relatively small middle school (grades 6 to 8) in the Clarkson Village area of Mississauga that borders on the protected “Rattray Marsh” conservation area. This beautiful location helps define who we are as a school, as one of our goals is to promote ecological/environmental initiatives in partnership with local agencies such as Credit Valley Conservation. To that end, the school has benefited recently by the construction of a fusion garden and a rain garden after participating in the Stream of Dreams project. Future projects will serve to enhance our green earth stewardship.

Green Glade's mission is to facilitate the academic, social, physical and emotional development of each child. We do this by providing a safe and caring environment in which we challenge each student and work to instill a love of learning, a quest for knowledge and respect for themselves and others. Our highly trained staff and dedicated school council work together to support student learning. This will provide our students with the self-confidence to handle the different situations that they will encounter throughout their lives and to "be the best they can be" (our school motto).

Green Glade is a regional centre for extended French (grades 7 and 8), drawing Mississauga students south of Highway 401. Every day, two thirds of our school population arrive and depart by bus. Upon graduation, these students can continue the EF program at Lorne Park Secondary School.

We are proud that our community students and extended French students work and play so well together. We all unite behind our prominently displayed logo. Green Glade is “The Home of the GATORS” and our students proudly represent their school in all athletic competitions and tournaments, displaying skill and good sportsmanship. All who visit the school comment on the exemplary visual arts program displays and the diversity of the music program. Green Glade offers clubs and activities for all interests to keep our middle level learners engaged and motivated, with leadership for special school activities provided by a dynamic student council.
