At Hillside Public School, the staff, students and parents work collaboratively in “Building Global Citizens.” We are a vibrant school community servicing over 400 students in kindergarten to grade 8. At Hillside, we are proud to provide something for everyone through our academic programs, elective courses and extracurricular opportunities.

We have a collective commitment to high academic achievements with a focus on 21st century skills across the curriculum. Our goal is to ensure all students receive instruction to support individual needs so that all students can be successful and do their personal best. We believe involving students in the assessment process prepares students for academic success.

Developing a strong character is important at Hillside. Through our “What’s the Buzz?” initiative, students are recognized daily for demonstrating our six character attributes, including caring, cooperative, honest, inclusive, respectful and responsible. Each morning, students and staff gather as one community in the gym for our daily Climate Assembly. This is a great opportunity to hear the day’s announcements and to celebrate each other’s successes throughout the year. Through our character education focus, we endeavour to promote a safe, caring and inclusive learning and working environment for all students and staff.
