Tutorial and Educational Assistance in Mississauga, or TEAM School, was established in 1981 to strengthen the learning skills of students. Located in the heart of Mississauga, TEAM School is a non-denominational private school recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education. TEAM School shares some of its services, facilities, and resources with its affiliate, Mentor College, a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 private school in south Mississauga. TEAM School addresses the needs of a variety of students: students who require academic upgrading, students who benefit from small class sizes and extra teacher support, and students who have had an educational assessment indicating a learning challenge.
The village of Cooksville is located is south central Mississauga, south of the City Centre and the Square One Mall area. Cooksville features a large baseball facility, parklands, a hospital, library, and schools. The population of this neighbourhood is very diverse, ethnically. Housing is also diverse: there are many high-rise condos along Hurontario St and at Dundas, as well as areas of newer townhome condos, and there are also older single-detached homes, built in the late 1980s and 1990s. Cooksville is the main transportation hub in Mississauga, with GO Transit rail and bus service and express city buses to Toronto Union Station, and there is easy access to Highway 401.
