The Allan A. Martin Sr. Public School community is an inviting environment, striving to maximize success while promoting continuous learning. The school celebrates diversity and inspires students to achieve goals through engaging lessons and projects. Staff are committed to developing the whole person through teaching the values of character education, using technology as an integral part of all curriculum and developing leadership opportunities for students in a variety of contexts.

Allan A. Martin is a grade 6 to 8 school in south Mississauga, with the regional International Business and Technology (IBT) program available to all students. The IBT program was developed in 1994 and challenges students to develop the attitudes and skills necessary for success and for a life of continued learning. Students learn and work to develop attitudes and fundamental skills determined by the Conference Board of Canada Employability Skills Profile. As well, technological competency is supported through a planned program that teaches the skills required to access, manage and communicate information in a constantly developing technological age. As in all schools, the commitment to keep current remains a high priority as new technology and applications evolve. Regular staff in-school training sessions and conferences, as well as accessing support from business partners and board resources remains a priority.

Allan A. Martin has a strong and supportive community. There are a variety of opportunities for parents to get involved with learning, through volunteering in the school, attending information sessions and school concerts. Extracurricular opportunities for students at the school are many and varied, including athletic, arts, and academic clubs and teams. Student leadership is an important focus, with the goal being to nurture citizens of the 21st century.
