Glenforest Secondary School celebrates its 50th year in 2019. It continues to be a school rich in tradition where creativity, curiosity, imagination and dedication are honoured through intellectual, physical and emotional pursuits. Glenforest fosters a caring and empowering environment where knowledgeable teachers and students engage in meaningful and enjoyable learning in a professional learning community.

Glenforest’s mission statement, “Offer the best, expect the best to be the best,” reinforces the school’s focus on participation, respect and achievement.

The school values high standards of work and behaviour, a safe and healthy learning environment, the diversity of its learning community, learning beyond the classroom, personal responsibility and global citizenship. The school philosophy of local action and global awareness allows for full school involvement regardless of program choice.
