Springfield Public School is a school with a strong history and a bright future. The mission at Springfield is to help students live up to their dreams, reach their full potential and become critical thinkers who are prepared for tomorrow. At Springfield not only do we celebrate the diverse culture of our community, but we also promote Canada’s bilingualism by being a French immersion site for grades 1 to 6. In addition to French (for our immersion students) the languages spoken are numerous and contribute to the multicultural fabric of the school.
The Erindale neighbourhood is in southwest Mississauga, with the Credit River forming its south and western boundaries. Woodland areas and green spaces border the river area, and there are also plenty of park lands, and tree-lined streets. Homes in some parts of this neighbourhood are mansion estates, while in other areas there are smaller single-detached homes built in the 1970s, as well as townhomes and high-rise buildings.
