The Woodlands School provides a supportive learning environment for students. Student curiosity and creativity are encouraged and excellence is promoted. The primary goal of staff is to ensure that all students receive an exceptional educational program that will help them reach their academic and career goals. The Woodlands School is also a regional centre for the education of more than 400 gifted students, where they are challenged and motivated to become enthusiastic learners in pursuit of their goals. The Erindale neighbourhood is in southwest Mississauga, with the Credit River forming its south and western boundaries. Woodland areas and green spaces border the river area, and there are also plenty of park lands, and tree-lined streets. Homes in some parts of this neighbourhood are mansion estates, while in other areas there are smaller single-detached homes built in the 1970s, as well as townhomes and high-rise buildings.
