About Fairwind Sr PS

Fairwind Sr. Public School is a grade 6, 7 and 8 school located in central Mississauga. We have approximately 650 students representing our diverse community. Our unique student-teacher progression model for grade 7 and 8 sets us apart from other middle schools. All students and staff at Fairwind are affiliated with one of three cross grade houses that work together to build school spirit, healthy relationships and a caring and respectful environment. We strive to empower our students by embedding character education, integrating technology in teaching and learning, and developing leadership opportunities for students in a variety of contexts. Our school is a professional learning community where all members are encouraged to model the traits of continuous learning and leading in a collaborative environment. Our welcoming atmosphere and inclusive nature help students adjust to the middle school experience. We value equity, diversity and inclusion, and pride ourselves on our commitment to meeting the needs of all learners through strong academics and a variety of extracurricular activities including the arts, athletics, technology, leadership and enrichment opportunities. We strive to ensure that Fairwind has something for everyone, and in doing so are able to bring our "Soaring to New Heights" motto to life!
