Meadowvale Secondary School is a community school with a history of excellence. Our dedicated staff focuses on the success of all students, preparing them for university, college and the workplace. We offer a fully semestered program which will offer students more flexibility in planning their courses. With over 60 extracurricular activities to choose from, there are numerous opportunities to enrich high school life. Our Character Counts program encourages student engagement and staff commitment, fostering leadership, good citizenship and the promotion of all career paths. Meadowvale offers a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Construction Technology and Business. The Construction Major offers students the opportunity to develop specialized skills in interior design, architecture, carpentry, plumbing and electricity. The Business SHSM supports connections to architecture, engineering, accounting, entrepreneurial studies and connections to Mississauga’s strong corporate environment.
The Meadowvale neighbourhood is in northwest Mississauga, west of Meadowvale Village and Meadowvale Business Park. Meadowvale has plenty of park lands and green space, and two lakes (mostly human-made), Aquitaine and Wabukayne, with a system of parks and trails connecting them. Development of the area began in the 1970s. Housing is mostly single-detached older homes, as well as apartment buildings, semi-detached, and condo townhomes. Generally, it is a more affordable area than other Mississauga neighbourhoods.
