The Malton neighbourhood is in the northeastern corner of Mississauga. Malton is a well-established, stable, residential area that is largely separated from other residential areas of Mississauga by the Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport and many employment areas. Mimico Creek flows through Malton. Residential developments began in the 1950s and 1960s. Housing is predominantly single-detached and semi-detached homes. In 2015, a community improvement project was initiated by the city to improve and revitalize the area.
