Plowman’s Park Public School is one where the staff, students, parents and community work together with respect, safety, and peace. Our culturally diverse walking community prides itself on its commitment to encouraging a strong partnership between the home and school. Plowman’s Park is a kindergarten to grade 6 school. The Peel character attributes are an integral part of our school life. Students enjoy leadership and extracurricular opportunities which exemplify and reinforce these attributes. During the school year students have the opportunity to participate in choirs, athletics, and various clubs such as art and chess. Skating, skiing, and swimming activities are also offered to enrich student learning.
The Meadowvale neighbourhood is in northwest Mississauga, west of Meadowvale Village and Meadowvale Business Park. Meadowvale has plenty of park lands and green space, and two lakes (mostly human-made), Aquitaine and Wabukayne, with a system of parks and trails connecting them. Development of the area began in the 1970s. Housing is mostly single-detached older homes, as well as apartment buildings, semi-detached, and condo townhomes. Generally, it is a more affordable area than other Mississauga neighbourhoods.
