Plum Tree Park School is a bilingual learning community working collaboratively to achieve student success. We are committed to implementing effective and progressive teaching practices to address the needs of the whole child. Together we demonstrate responsibility to ourselves, to others, and to our world. Our highly diverse student population ranges from kindergarten through to grade 6. It is our goal to inspire responsible, healthy, lifelong learners in a safe and nurturing environment. As a learning community, we aim to motivate students to reach their potential and to develop respect for all through caring and sharing.

Students participate in a variety of field trips, extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities throughout the school year. All classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors and document cameras which enhance the day-to-day teaching and learning. As well, computer instruction is taught each week by a technology specialist in the computer lab. Class websites provide classroom specific information, homework assignments and suggested resource material for parents and students. Plum Tree Park’s library buzzes with excitement during the French and English Book Fairs. Students enjoy the opportunity to vote on the best Blue Spruce and Silver Birch book. A favorite activity is the “Family Members Tea” where students share a story they have written with their guest.

Plum Tree Park parent council members are second to none as they provide ongoing support to staff and students in a variety of ways such as organizing guest speakers for the community, providing pizza lunches, fitting students for skates and hosting teacher appreciation treats.
