Emily Carr's work was inspired by the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Coast and Canadian nature and habitat. Her work received widespread recognition across Canada for its passion and self-expression. Emily Carr overcame overwhelming obstacles that faced women of her day to be recognized as one of Canada's most famous artists. Our school community includes over 60 different countries and the foundation of the work we do is based upon the TRIBES philosophy of building community and working together.
