About Windham Ridge PS

Windham Ridge is a single track French Immersion school. It was officially opened in 2004. Our school motto is “Dare to Dream” and our mascot is the Phoenix. The teaching staff is committed to meeting the needs of our diverse student population. We value the academic and social development of our students and support this through classroom and extra-curricular programs. At Windham Ridge, we strongly believe in the importance of learning a second language in a rapidly changing world. The ability to communicate in several languages is an asset in today's modern world. Windham Ridge offers a learning environment where students thrive as learners within a second-language context.

Windham Ridge PS is located in Oak Ridges

Built upon a prime stretch of the glacially sculpted Oak Ridges Moraine – one of Ontario’s most well-known watersheds – the Oak Ridges neighbourhood is the northernmost in the City of Richmond Hill. Established along Yonge Street in 1799 by Joseph Genevieve and a group of French Royalists, Oak Ridges is located in the north end of Richmond Hill, east of King City, immediately south of Aurora, and west of Whitchurch-Stouffville. With all major arteries and public transit close at hand (YRT & VIVA), Oak Ridges is an extremely accessible neighbourhood for the downtown commuter. There are several older homes as well as extensive new developments in the area, and the neighbourhood includes several parks and schools.
