About Branksome Hall

Known for our warm, welcoming environment, Branksome Hall is an independent school for girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, with a Residence Program for students in Grades 8 through 12. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we offer a strong liberal arts curriculum that stirs the imagination, develops students' critical thinking and inquiry skills, and fosters a balance between academics and other activities. We've been experts and innovators in STEM programs long before the STEM acronym became popular. Students enjoy a wide range of athletic, artistic, co-curricular and leadership opportunities that make school life vibrant. They also develop personally as they make a difference in the lives of others through our local and international community service efforts. From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, all Branksome students benefit from our IB programs. Our teachers are experts in their fields, and many have taught internationally. They are devoted to helping our students reach their full potential, as they grow from learners into leaders.

Branksome Hall is located in Rosedale-Moore Park

Rosedale was formerly an estate and was named for the wild roses that grew there in abundance. It is also one of the wealthiest and most highly priced neighbourhoods in Canada. Rosedale is built among three ravines, preserved as parkland. Rosedale is full of cul de sacs and convoluted routes through the neighbourhood, which coupled with other physical boundaries (such as the ravines and bridges) leads to low levels of vehicular traffic. Moore Park is one of Toronto's most affluent neighbourhoods. The neighbourhood takes its name from its developer, John T. Moore. It is surrounded by ravines and parklands. The northern boundary is Mount Pleasant Cemetery and the southern the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks.
