In this School Guide, you'll find out more about the schools children in this neighbourhood can attend, including public, Catholic, and private schools.
The Queensway–Humber Bay, known officially as Stonegate-Queensway, is located in the south-east of the former City of Etobicoke. Mimico Creek runs through the neighbourhood. This community includes 1950s era low-rise apartment buildings and an old turn-of-the century market garden community which was absorbed by the city as it grew. The bulk of the houses in The Queensway are two bedroom brick bungalows as well as storey-and-a-half homes constructed in the 1940s and 1950s. These buildings sit on good size lots and include private driveways and garages.
Stonegate-Queensway has great elementary schools, great secondary schools, and secondary special programs. There are 11 public schools, 9 Catholic schools, 1 private school, and 1 alternative/special school serving Stonegate-Queensway. The special programs offered at local schools include Fine Arts, Special Education School, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, French Immersion, and Gifted/Talented Program.
