Our Faculty
At Uxbridge Montessori, all of our classroom teachers have appropriate teaching qualifications. Montessori teachers hold recognized Montessori qualifications and specialty teachers are trained in the subjects they teach. Many of our teachers have years of teaching experience, while others are new to the profession. We find this to be a very good mix since the new teachers are eager to share new ideas, while the experienced teachers know how to implement these ideas.
Our teachers work very closely together to establish a high quality program in all their classes. We strongly encourage our teachers to seek professional development in areas of interest in order to stay current and expand their knowledge base. When we employ teachers we look for several different qualities beyond the basic qualifications. We hire teachers whose professional interests lie in providing an academically challenging curriculum, who are interested in ongoing professional development in areas of focus for the school, who are interested in working as part of a close staff team, and who have interests that will enhance our extra-curricular activities.
