St. Joseph Catholic School opened its doors to serve Catholic families in Aurora in 1961. Our school has a long standing history and tradition in the community. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in October 2011. We are inspired by St. Paul's message to produce graduates who exemplify Catholic virtues, attitudes and actions. Guided by Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations, our students learn, grow and seek to transform the world through faith, hope and love! We are called to provide safe and caring schools, Catholic communities of faith and quality learning by all, with Jesus as our inspiration.
Aurora Highlands is in the west part of Aurora, with Bathurst St. as its western border, Wellington St. as far as Murray Drive as the northern border, and Yonge St. as the furthest eastern border. The southern border is formed by the GO rail line. As with most of Aurora's neighbourhoods, this area features woodlots, green spaces, and park lands amid residential neighbourhoods that comprise mainly detached homes, and some semi-detached and townhomes.
