West Lynde Public School is located in south-west Whitby and is part of the Durham D.S.B. The school has served the local community as it has changed over the years. Currently, 400 FDK to Grade 8 students attend our school from distinct and ethnically diverse communities of West Lynde.
The Lynde Creek neighbourhood is in southwest Whitby, just west of Downtown. The area offers plenty of green space, wooded areas, and natural settings, with the advantage of being close to the amenities of downtown, and to Highways 401 and 412. Housing includes large single-detached homes on larger lots (many with pools), bungalow, ranch homes, as well as some high-rise buildings.
