Newmarket High School is firmly rooted in its community. As such, N.H.S. builds on a long-standing tradition, which enables its staff and students to respond effectively to new demands, and challenges brought on by a changing environment. Throughout all changes, the school’s community is aware of the importance of maintaining a warm family atmosphere, which supports the needs of its students. Newmarket High School addresses the concerns and needs of the whole person through its regular programming, additional supports and co-curricular activities. The school strives to maintain a positive environment in which cognitive and physical development of its students are promoted in association with an awareness of appropriate values, both moral and societal.
Gorham-College Manor is located just west of highway 404 and it bordered by Davis Drive to the north. The area contains primarily detached and semi-detached homes in addition to some townhomes. Most of the homes were built in the early 1990's.
