The Holly community is located in Barrie's extreme southwest. Originally part of Innisfil, Holly was one of three areas annexed in the 1980s, pushing Barrie’s boundary to the south. It is a well-established community, with mainly detached homes, a number of schools, park areas, and some commercial services. The recreation centre is a must-go destination for families. The Dyer tract of the Simcoe County Forest lies beyond the northwest border, and beautiful rolling fields lie to the south and west.
