Queen's Park is an area of mature trees and landscapes, parks, and proximity to the downtown and waterfront. Queen's Park, created in the 1800s, and the Armoury, which is still used, are central features of this neighbourhood. Much of the original housing, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, remains today, with some of them being converted to offices and businesses. Smaller single and semi-detached housing was added to the neighbourhood over the years, as was multi-unit housing and a range of rental housing. The varied housing styles result in a diverse range of ages and incomes, and the neighbourhood is a vibrant mix of people, housing, and uses.
