South Shore runs along the southeast shoreline of Kempenfelt Bay, from Minet's Point at its west end to past Tollendal Beach and parkland at its east end. The area is home to Tollendale Village, a large seniors community, complete with nursing home. It also includes the private Brentwood Marina and several public parks. It features waterfront homes, areas of low-density subdivisions, and forested areas. It is close to Minet’s Point Road and Yonge Street, an area that features retail and restaurants.
