Huronia Centennial Elementary School is located in Elmvale, Ontario, Canada. It is a medium sized school with a student population of about 500 and a staff of 35 including teachers, educational assistants, administration, administrative support and custodians. It is a kindergarten through grade 8 school with 75% of the student body bussed from the rural surrounding area. Our school was built in 1967, the year of the Canadian Centennial celebration, and hence the reason for our name. We are actively involved in the community of Elmvale which has a population of about 2500 people.
Elmvale is a rural town in Springwater Township, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the intersection of County Road 27 and County Road 92 (Queen Street), 20 minutes north of Barrie. Elmvale first got its name when the post office opened in 1859. It had previously been known as Four Corners, Elm Flats, and Saurin.
