Within Riverdale is the little neighbourhood of Blake-Jones, with its tree-lined streets and homes built from the 1870s to the 1930s. Situated within Blake-Jones is a region residents refer to as "The Pocket." The moniker has persisted in part because of the "village feel" of the neighbourhood. Victorian and Edwardian styles, semi-detached and 2-storey houses are most common in Blake-Jones and residents enjoy quick access to downtown Toronto.
