Glenfield-Jane Heights, also known as Jane-Finch, was originally developed as a model suburb in the 1960s in response to the rapid urban growth of Toronto. The neighbourhood is made up of single-family detached and semi-detached houses, along with a large number of high-rise apartment buildings. Being one of the most visible minority concentrated communities in the City of Toronto, the Jane-Finch community hosts a number of cultural activities.
