About Howard Junior Public School

Howard Public School is located in the High Park/Roncesvalles community. It began as a small country school in 1874. The present building was constructed in 1970 as an "open concept" school with three "houses": Anderson House, Maison Neuve and Clarke House. Each house has a common area surrounded by six individual classrooms. The three Kindergartens and music room are in separate classrooms. The school has approximately 550 students. Howard Public School is a dual-track school offering an English program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 and an Early French Immersion program from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 6. Each program enhances the other. The school shares space with a daycare centre.

Howard Junior Public School is located in High Park-Swansea

The High Park neighbourhood is mainly residential, containing many semi-detached homes built in the early 20th century. The park for which it was named spans 400 acres, and is a mixed recreational and natural park, with sporting facilities, cultural facilities, educational facilities, gardens, playgrounds and a zoo. North of the park, the neighbourhood has several high-rise apartment buildings, built after the construction of the Bloor-Danforth subway.

Schools play a crucial role in homebuying, as catchment areas determine which schools your children can attend. If you're interested in seeing homes near Howard Junior Public School, please contact me.
