The Toronto Heschel School was founded in 1996 by experienced and specialized educators who chose Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel as the religious and philosophical inspiration of the school, to impart to the children the spirit of awe, thanksgiving and wonder. At The Toronto Heschel School, we approach your child’s growth as a whole: intellectual, creative, social, ethical and physical. Our community is inclusive and respectful of all Jewish practices. At Heschel, the whole curriculum is integrated which promotes a deeper understanding of the content and allows children to apply their learning across all disciplines. Clanton Park, sometimes referred to as Dublin Heights or Wilson Heights, is sandwiched between Downsview Park, formerly CFB Downsview, and Earl Bales Park, named after a former reeve of North York. It also contains several smaller parks. The housing ranges from 1950s bungalow style homes to new medium rise condominiums.
