Lescon Public School is located in the Sheppard and Leslie area. Lescon offers Full Day Kindergarten and an ISP-ASD program. The school services students representing many ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The staff encourages these differences and believe that all students have the right to be accepted for their individuality. Lescon staff and community believe that all students deserve: the best education possible, to reach their full potential, a safe, caring and stimulating school environment, the opportunity to grow into responsible, caring and respectful citizens.
Responsible Citizenship
Lescon works together to recognize and support positive, respectful behaviours. Through monthly character education assemblies, students are recognized and valued for their contributions to our school community. One initiative at Lescon is the infusion of the Second Step Program throughout every grade. Second Step fosters empathy building, problem solving and conflict resolution. We have consistent expectations among students and staff with regards to respectful and responsible behaviour. Lescon students support and get involved in helping others. At Lescon, students embrace character education and infuse it into their everyday actions.
